Tissot Watches History

Tissot is a Swiss watch manufacturer and a most famous company in the world of contemporary watchmaking. The company was founded in 1853 by one Swiss family. Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile established the brand in Le Locle city. Impassioned and carried away by outstandingly hot spirits and also with love of horology, father and son gave a start for a great and crafty company.

During all the years of life of the Tissot Company, the establishment was charming and enthralling minds of all watchlovers across the universe. Since the very start-up this watchmaker had all kinds of skilful staff – technicians, engineers and many more – which were happy and eager to put different ideas forward and make all types of fantastic but worthy timepieces. Supported by an efficient crew of horologists, company managed to construct the first of its kind antimagnetic watch. Time went by and the company didn’t want to be satisfied with what has already been achieved and made even more of splendid timepieces: the “Rock Watch”, the “Wood Watch” and “T-touch”.

And that were not the only things in which company managed to succeed, it managed to get its name in the world of sports as well. In the beginning of 19 century the company frantically started taking part in different chief sport events: some 1938 competition in Switzerland, Davis Cup in 1957 – that’s the places where Tissot Company participated as the timekeeper of event. And that’s not all, fencing, road biking, cycling and ice hockey also became touched by the hand of the watches made by the Tissot. Timekeeping is a strong point of the company, we presume.

Beginning with 1985, the company became fixed to the Swatch Group, Switzerland. And since then the company started to be an acknowledged authority by the traders of the whole world. All the timepieces made by Tissot are being designed and produced directly at its homeland, which is facilitates the company to advertise itself as a true and firm “Swiss-made watchmaker”. The company offers a great variation of watches that can take the fancy of any, even the most inveterate and experienced wathlover, by a decent design along with firmness and quality of a building-up of timepieces.

Currently the company has outgrown into something that became even more well-know that it was before. When you think of the company, the first thing you have in your mind is their “T-Touch” specimen. And Tissot can boast not only of its grand supply of watches, but also of compasses, barometers, altimeters and thermometers and many other horology pieces. Some of their timepieces were even filmed in such movies as: The Cradle of Life and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

For people who are pleased and even sometimes proud to have great-quality and well-looking watch wore on their hands, a choice of a watch made by Tissot Company would be a safe one. On the whole, the works of this company are considered to be high-quality good watched at an acceptable price. And last idea Tissot had in its head is to participate as a timekeeper in some really really big sport even, Olympics for an instance or something like that. By funding such renowned senstations, the brand has long come top and conquered a firm and undestroyable refuge for itself that for sure won’t be destroyed by the enemies before long.
